The City
There are numerous landmarks and monuments in Dublin that date back hundreds of years. Dublin Castle is one of the oldest. The Spire of Dublin, formally known as the "Monument of Light," is one of Dublin's newest landmarks. It's a stainless steel conical spire that stands 121.2 meters tall on O'Connell Street between Henry and North Earl Streets. Christ Church Cathedral and St Patrick's Cathedral, the Mansion House, the Molly Malone statue, the complex of buildings surrounding Leinster House, which includes part of the National Museum of Ireland and the National Library of Ireland, The Custom House, and ras an Uachtaráin are among the other landmarks and monuments. The Anna Livia monument is also worth seeing. The Poolbeg Towers are another notable landmark in Dublin, visible from numerous locations throughout the city.
